Flexmeter Flexguard
: the first wrist protection for all summer and winter riding sports
!
Why should I wear protection
?
In in-line skating, wrist
trauma due to falls happens frequently.
The radius fractures are always located on the radius’ inferior
extremity, just above the highest part of classic wrist protections.
Theses fractures are caused by the fall on the heel of the hand and
the wrist in hyperextension (or dorsal flexion).
Flexmeter’s protection concept
Thanks to its thermoplastic
Hytrel® by Dupont™ protection -resistant but flexible-, Flexmeter’s
protection prevents wrist hyperextension from happening and absorbs
compression forces.
Flexguard is a comfortable splint covering more than the half of the
forearm. It was conceived specially for complex anatomy of the wrist’s
area.
Flexguard allows for the
wrist’s mobility, unlike the old-style in-line skate wrist guards
which are short and rigid, and are even more dangerous because they
cause fractures upper on the forearm.
Flexguard’s innovation
A clever removable piece
allows Flexguard to be used both in summer for in-line skating, skateboarding,
mountain-biking, and in winter for snowboarding and freeride activities.
A proven efficiency
The field studies comparing
snowboarders wearing Flexmeter Snow to snowboarders without any protection
showed a decrease of 67% in wrist fractures.
